Ramon Frias, 84, of Lake Worth Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in La Lima, Dominican Republic, Ramon’s life was a testament to his deep faith, his unwavering love for family, and a quick-witted sense of humor that brightened every room he entered. Ramon is survived by his beloved wife of over 59 years, Aridia. He was a loving father to his sons Michael, Joseph, and Eli, and a devoted father figure to Emely and his goddaughter Sujeiry. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Roman, Luca, Natalia, and Eva, who were the immense joy of his life. He also leaves behind his loyal yellow-naped parrot, Big Bird. Ramon is survived by his siblings Firo, Julia, Ana, Claribel, and Jose and was preceded in death by his siblings Zenaida, Josie, and Basilio. Ramon’s life was a journey of perseverance and purpose. He came to the United States as a teenager and, despite not having a formal education, became a talented cook, building a successful life and instilling in his family the values of hard work, resilience, and faith. His deep devotion to the church and his community was a cornerstone of his legacy. He gave generously of his time and spirit, volunteering at the hospital, nursing home, and his church. He found joy in the simplest things: reading the Bible, praying, gardening, cooking, woodworking, talking for hours on the phone with family and friends, and spending quality time with his loved ones. Known for his quick wit and signature sarcasm, Ramon had a unique gift for making everyone feel like family. In his presence, you felt welcomed, seen, and deeply loved—as though you truly mattered. His life was a testament to transformation, hope, and the quiet strength of love. Ramon will be remembered not only for his laughter and cooking but for the way he lived—with faith, humility, and a heart big enough to hold everyone close. Nacido en La Lima, República Dominicana, la vida de Ramón fue un testimonio de su profunda fe, su inquebrantable amor por la familia y un ingenioso sentido del humor que iluminaba cada habitación en la que entraba. A Ramón le sobrevive su amada esposa de sobre 59 años, Aridia. Fue un padre amoroso para sus hijos Michael, Joseph y Eli, y una devota figura paterna para Emely y su ahijada Sujeiry. Su legado continúa a través de sus nietos, Roman, Luca, Natalia y Eva, quienes fueron la inmensa alegría de su vida. También deja a su leal loro de nuca amarilla, Big Bird. A Ramón le sobreviven sus hermanos Firo, Julia, Ana, Claribel y José, y le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanos Zenaida, Josie y Basilio. La vida de Ramón fue un viaje de perseverancia y propósito. Conocido por su ingenio rápido y su sarcasmo característico, Ramón tenía el don único de hacer que todos se sintieran como parte de la familia. En su presencia, te sentías bienvenido, visto y profundamente amado, como si realmente importaras. Su vida fue un testimonio de transformación, esperanza y la tranquila fuerza del amor. A Ramón se le recordará no solo por su risa y su cocina, sino por la forma en que vivió: con fe, humildad y un corazón lo suficientemente grande como para abrazar a todos.
