Wilson “Willie” Clas

Sunrise: November 11, 1956 - Sunset: March 30, 2026

Wilson “Willie” Clas, age 69, originally of Belle Glade, Florida, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on March 30, 2026.

At the time of his passing, Willie was residing with his beloved sister, Rosa, in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. He was born in Lapeer, Michigan, to Rosa and Demetrio Clas, both of whom preceded him in death.

Willie dedicated 47 years of hard work and commitment to Okeelanta/Florida Crystals, where he retired in 2021. During his many years there, he built countless special friendships that remained dear to him throughout his life and lasted until his final days.

Willie had 7 sibling which include:

Hector Clas (Sharon, wife); Elizabeth Clas (Joe, husband); Efrain Clas - preceded him in death (Esther); Rosa Clas (Ely); Miguel Clas (preceded in death); Maria E. Class Ortiz (Hector, husband); Aida Yolanda Class (preceded in death).

A loving and devoted family man, Willie was much more than an uncle—he was a father figure to his niece, Gloria, and his nephews, Frankie and Jairo, helping to raise them during their formative years with love, guidance, and unwavering support.

Willie was a cherished brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He was blessed with numerous lifelong friendships, many of which began during his younger years on 3rd Street (Belle Glade) and remained strong throughout his life.

Willie had a deep love for traveling and discovering the beauty of places he had never seen before. He found great joy in exploring the wonders of the United States, Puerto Rico, and Canada. Some of the places he spoke of most fondly included Niagara Falls, Alaska, the Grand Canyon, El Yunque Rainforest, Mount Rushmore, and the Flight 93 National Memorial in Pennsylvania. He especially treasured the many cross-country road trips he took while helping to raise his niece and nephews, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Willie also had a generous heart and a true passion for helping others. Whether he was teaching his nieces and nephews how to drive, stopping by for an unexpected visit, or simply lending a helping hand whenever needed, Willie was always there. His presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to those around him.

His nieces and nephews held a very special place in his heart. He leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews, including David, Tony, Lydia, Nicky, Gloria, Frankie, Jairo, Demetrio, Rosie, Erica, Janet, Martita, Carmen, Jose, Alejandro, Hector, Jr, Maria and Matthew, along with many beloved great-nieces and great-nephews.

Willie will be remembered for his kind spirit, his love of family, his loyalty to friends, his adventurous heart, and his willingness to always show up for the people he loved. His legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on in all who had the blessing of knowing him.

He had special friends Deborah and William Wade and Shirley Valentine and his cousin, Norma Larriu close to his heart.
