William Stephen Roberts Sr.

William (Bill) S. Roberts Sr., 79, of Royal Palm Beach, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday June 3, 2019, at the Finnish-American Rest Home in Lake Worth Florida. Bill was born on July 4, 1939, to James and Mary(Hull) Roberts in Queens New York. He is pre-deceased by his parents, and his brothers James and Donald Roberts. Bill proudly served in the US Navy for 4 years and was honorably discharged in 1960. He was a NYC police officer for 20 years before retiring in 1983. In his spare time Bill enjoyed golf, the outdoors, boating, the water, and time he spent with his family. Most of all he loved the time with his grandchildren. Bill is survived by his five children, William S.(Bette) Roberts Jr. of Monroe NC, Daniel Brian Roberts of Richmond Ky, Margot (Carl Ciamacco) of Palm Beach Gardens Fl, Michael (Carolann) Roberts of Jupiter Farms Fl, and Christine (Dwight) Lansing of W. Boylston MA; the mother of his 5 children, Catherine A Mastaglio of West Palm Beach FL; 8 grandchildren, John Martin Roberts, William S. Roberts III, Jenelle Roberts, Shelby Roberts, Katie Roberts, Peyton Roberts, Timothy E. Lansing and Christopher G. Lansing; and 1 great grandchild, Victoria Young. As Dad would always say, "Boy oh boy". We are going to miss you, beloved dad and Pop Pop. Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 10:00 am Friday June 7th at Palms West Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection will held 10:30 am at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Royal Palm Beach. The burial will be at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach.
