William Magella aka "Poppy" passed away on September 21, 2014. Poppy was visiting Jacksonville for a family activity when he became unexpectedly ill. He was surrounded by his entire loving family during his brief stay in Hospice. Poppy is survived by his daughter, Dee Azeredo (Dan) of Palm Beach Gardens and by his daughter, Donna Kuebler (Doug) of Wellington. Grandsons, Christopher Azeredo of Round Rock, Texas and Kyle Kuebler of Jacksonville, Fl. Poppy is preceded In deaths by his loving wife Joan, his brothers John, Joseph, Michael, George, Edward and sisters Anna and Helen. William was retired from Pratt & Whitney Aircraft after a 20 plus year career as a Metallurgist. Prior to that he was employed by Merck in Rahway, New Jersey. He was Member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary and also a member of. US Naval Reserve. During his stay in New Jersey, Poppy served as a volunteer on the Carteret Fire Department. Poppy's passions included his devotion to his Church and The Lord. He cherished his grandsons and backwater fishing with his entire family throughout all of Charlotte Harbor.
