William "Steve" Knight

Wm. Steve Knight, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, left this earth suddenly while surrounded by those he laughed with, lived for, and loved on December 18, 2014 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Born in Dothan, AL on February 28, 1957, Steve made Palm Beach County his permanent home in the mid-1970s. He married his wife and love of his life of 35 years, Karen (Kraft) in 1980 and together they raised a close-knit family and built a local company. They had two children, five grandchildren, and a lifetime of memories. Steve was an avid fisherman, and taught his children the joy of angling at an early age. He was a dedicated business man with an impeccable work ethic. As the owner of Welder Services, Inc. in Riviera Beach, he was respected and loved by his staff and customers, and his son worked by his side daily. Steve loved to coach T-Ball, could fix anything, was a classic car collector and enthusiast, and most importantly, he put his family first. He was a loyal husband, a devoted father, full of wisdom and life experience, and will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. Besides his wife Karen, Steve is survived by his daughter Brooke Knight of West Palm Beach and his son Kenneth Knight and his wife Dana of Stuart; his grandchildren Alexandra, Drake, Taylor, Jackson and Scarlett; his sisters Laine Craft and Carol Brandyberry (Dennis), brother Larry (Kay), brother in-law Kenneth Kraft, nieces Lori and Michelle, nephew Jamie, and numerous other relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held honoring Steve on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 10:00 at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. A reception will immediately follow at the family home. Steve will be laid to rest in Dothan.
