Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He joined the increasing statistics of American cancer deaths. Born June 21, 1933 in Middletown CT, Bill moved his family to Fort Lauderdale, FL in 1971. Prior to coming to Florida, he worked for Northeast Utilities for 18 years and also worked as a police officer. After retiring from the Broward County School System where he worked as a plant operator maintaining the cooling and heating systems at Nova Schools, he and his wife Lorraine relocated to Wellington, FL where he resided at the time of his passing. His professional background, though exceptional, certainly paled in comparison to his devotion as husband and father to wife, Lorraine; sons William V. and Robert L., and daughter Jan Ellen Camp. His continual good humor, wisdom, guidance, concern for others and love will be missed, unbearably so, by friends, family and countless others. Survived also be grandsons William Commerford VI, Robert Commerford Jr., Dustin Commerford; granddaughters Carri Clifton (Dale), Hailey Camp, Sara Commerford, Kelly Commerford and Emma Campbell; son-in-law Ed Camp and daughter ?in-laws, Rhoda Commerford and Cheryl Commerford; great-granddaughter Lily Clifton. Bill?s transition into heaven will be formerly recognized at the wake to be held from 4 to 7P.M. Thursday, November 15 at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, FL . Funeral mass will be held Friday, November 16, 2007, 10:30AM at St. Rita Catholic Church in Wellington. Burial to follow at the South Florida National Cemetery, 6501 S.
