William Edward Back

William Edward Back June 9, 1937 – September 28, 2025 William Edward Back, affectionately known as "Pappy", passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on June 9, 1937, William lived a full and hardworking life in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. William worked as a truck driver and was known for his strong work ethic, his love of building and tinkering in his shop, and his unmatched ability to make people laugh. He was truly one of a kind a character full of life and humor who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. William was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Lou Back. Together, they built a life full of love, family, and cherished memories. William was also preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Back and Edna Marie Back, and his siblings: Charles Back, Mary Lanier, Jane Rauch, and Florence Ann Tidd. He is survived by his sons, Ed Back and Scott Back; and two sisters, Jean Cates and Carol Sue Kalmbach. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored him dearly. He will be remembered for his kindness, quick wit, storytelling, and deep love for his family. His presence will be missed more than words can express.
