William Arocho, formerly of Lake Worth, Florida, was called home on Tuesday May 14, 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. William was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico on October 1, 1943 to Jaime Arocho and Sara Arocho Lugo. William is survived by his wife Soraida Arocho (Medina), his two sons William Arocho Jr. and Hector Arocho and three daughters, Milagros Arocho (Rosa), Damaris Arocho (Tejada) and Melinda Arocho (Johnson). While living in Puerto Rico, William took pride in his own public transportation business which he started at a young age. William is still known in Puerto Rico for his services and loved to converse about the diverse experiences he has had while transporting the people of Puerto Rico. After leaving Puerto Rico, Mr. Arocho spent nine years working in the historic US Steel Mill in McDonald, Ohio. William later moved to Florida in the 80's where he began working for the Fountains Country Club in Lake Worth, Florida as the head of Golf Course Maintenance until he retired in 2005. William enjoyed washing and waxing his vehicles and had a great passion for classic cars. As a talent he was able to accurately identify the exact year of a car by looking at its headlights. After being diagnosed with chronic kidney failure, William was told he would have to receive dialysis three days a week, something he did not enjoy but still looked forward to because of all the pretty nurses he was able to flirt with. William was given 7 grandsons (Tyler Arocho, Brandon Arocho, Evan Arocho, Hector Arocho Jr., Alex Tejada, Michael Tejada and Tito Tejada) and 4 grand daughters (Emily Arocho, Kristin Arocho, Janeetsa Ortiz and Aaliyah Tejada). He was very proud of his family and was most happy when he was able to spend time with everyone. Mr. Arocho had a great sense of humor which he would often use while teasing and telling jokes about his family and friends. You would always know that he loved you by his dirty looks and mean jokes. A funeral service in memory of William will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at 4:30 pm, located at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Parkway, Royal Palm Beach, Florida, with Pastor Jose Magana officiating.
