Willa "Billie" M. Sims, 83, of Royal Palm Beach, FL, passed away on Friday, August 5, 2011. Born July 29, 1928 in Chesterfield County, SC, she was the daughter of the late John Anderson and Annie Anderson Curry. Before moving to Wellington, she was a long time resident of the Glades where she met and married her late husband Harlow Clinton Sims, who was part of one of the pioneer families of the Glades. Billie worked for a private club in Palm Beach for 15 years before retiring 20 years ago. Willa's memory will be cherished by her 3 daughters, Linda Sue Sims-Moore, Teri Lynne Sims and Kathi Ellen (Tim) Turner; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Rhonda and Lisa Jackson, Clint, Jessica (deceased), Lindsey Moore, Scott, Jacob, and Kassidi Turner; sister, Jeanette; son-in-law, Bill Jackson; 6 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by 3 of her children, Ann Jackson, Bennie Farrow and Harlow Clark Sims; siblings, J.T., William and Geneva; son-in-law, Charles Moore. Billie battled cancer for over 25 years. The doctors gave up on her but her children never did. She had a strong will to survive and had the support of her children. She was loved by many and will be missed forever.
