Wade "Nuke" Nuquist, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on February 19, 2026, in Jupiter, Florida at the age of 69. Born on April 20, 1956, in San Diego, California, Wade's life was defined by his unwavering commitment to service, both in his military career and his role as a husband and father. 

Wade's military journey spanned 38 years of service in the United States Army, where he retired as a Chief Warrant Officer 4 (CW4). He began his career as a Cobra helicopter pilot and transitioned to the National Guard after leaving active duty. Throughout his distinguished service, he completed multiple deployments worldwide, contributing to missions in Egypt, Korea, South and Central America, and the Middle East. Wade's dedication to his country and his fellow service members was a source of pride for him and an inspiration to those who knew him.

Wade continued to share his passion for aviation as an S-76 helicopter flight instructor at Flightsafety International for 29 years. His professional demeanor and attention to detail as well as his expertise and knowledge made him not only a great instructor but also a mentor and friend to many. He was proud of his faith and was always eager to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

Wade is survived by his loving wife, Kimberlee Nuquist; his sons, Trever and Quinton Nuquist; his mother, Gloria Nuquist; and his brothers, Ryan Nuquist and Clay Nuquist, along with their spouses, Diana and Patti Nuquist, respectively. He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Nuquist.

Family and friends are invited to honor Wade's memory during visitation on February 26, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM, both at Divine Savior Church, located at 7430 Belvedere Rd, West Palm Beach, FL 33411.

Wade Nuquist leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and joy that will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends.
