Vivian V. Parisi Monaco died at the age of 66 in her Lake Worth Residence on Wednesday December 13, 2023, from her almost 12-year battle with lung and brain cancer. Vivian was born on March 29, 1957, in Jamaica Queens NY to Frank and Giovanna Parisi and is survived by her older sister Fran Safina. Vivian and Robert were married on September 5, 1976, in Franklin Square, NY and were happily married for 47 years until her death. They shared a love of going to the theater, seeing live music performances, dining at rooftop restaurants where she could appreciate the Manhattan skyline with best friend and husband Bob. Vivian also enjoyed street fairs where she and Bob would walk around for hours enjoying each other's company eating, drinking, and shopping; it was one of their most favorite things to do together. They have one daughter Monica Monaco Martin, the Director of Mathematics for the Long Beach School District who is married to Kirk Martin. Vivian was Monica's biggest cheerleader. They spoke at least 5 times a day before she lost her hearing, she was grateful when unlimited texting became their mode of communication. They would text about daily life, work, food and of course their favorite show General Hospital. Vivian was an extremely proud Nonna of 3 grandchildren that she referred to as Booboo Derek, My Heart Cynthia, and Handsome Harrison. Vivian was godmother to Elizabeth Grillo, Beth Thompson, and Erica Statler. She worked her way up through the ranks of the Oceanside Library from Part-time Circulation Clerk to Executive Assistant to Library Director Evelyn Rothschild. She was a positive influence in all the lives around her and served as a role model for many young women guiding them through life's important decisions. Many knew her as Aunt Vi or Viv, the cool and spicy, outspoken lady, always dressed on point. She was there to lend a helping hand, a shoulder to cry on, and always ready to try the newest restaurant or up for planning the next cruise. She was a warrior! An inspiration to all those around her and will be greatly missed in many circles. A Wake Service will be held at Palms West Funeral Home 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411, on Tuesday December 26, 2023, from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. There will be a funeral mass at St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church 11800 Lake Worth Road Wellington, FL 33449, on Wednesday December 27, 2023, at 10am.
