Vito Joseph Leogrande

V. Joe Leogrande, 97, of West Palm Beach, FL passed away February 24, 2010. Born in NJ, he moved to FL 22 years ago. Joe was predeceased by his beloved wife, Nettie, and is survived by his devoted daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Jim Hammonds, son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Elpida Leogrande of North Bergen, NJ, and a sister, Antoinette Simonetti of NJ. Joe was very proud of his grandchildren Douglas (Shay) Iannelli of Texas and Nancy (Andy) Hoffman of Oregon and of his four great grandchildren: Connor, Rorey and Brenna Iannelli and Maya Hoffman. Joe was a master gardener who loved working with his plants. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe's memory to Mounts Botanical Garden, 559 No. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, FL 33415, where Joe was a devoted volunteer. A viewing will be on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 5 to 8 pm with a wake service beginning at 6:30 pm, at Palms West Funeral Home, 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL. Services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church, 100 Crestwood Blvd. South, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.
