Virginia "Ginger" M. Taylor, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 31, 2025. Born on June 5, 1946, in Evanston, Illinois, Ginger led a life filled with love, dedication, and meaningful connections. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eustace Taylor and Lillian Olson; two of her siblings, Barbara Brand and Terry Taylor; and her ex-husband, Theodore "Ted" Hocin. Ginger was born and raised in Illinois and relocated to West Palm Beach, Florida in 1969. From an early age, she exhibited a strong sense of determination and a natural ability to connect with others—qualities that became hallmarks of her personal and professional life. Ginger enjoyed a successful career as a real estate broker, where her passion for helping others find their perfect homes shone brightly. Her professionalism and genuine warmth left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. Outside of her career, Ginger found great joy in playing bridge. The camaraderie and strategy of the game brought her countless hours of happiness and connection with friends. Family was the cornerstone of Ginger's life. She is survived by her three loving daughters: Christine Hicks; Sherry Irwin (husband, Gregg Irwin); and Terry Hearn (husband, Robert Hearn III). She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren—Colton Hearn, Colby Hearn, and Summer Irwin—who were a source of immense pride and joy. As well as a sister, Joyce Taylor, and numerous nieces and nephews. And finally, her faithful companion and sidekick, her dog Penny. Ginger was a woman of refined tastes—mainly in oversized white sofas, deli meats, and Pierce Brosnan. Constant banter and fun from her family was usually met with a withering glare (perfectly accented by her signature lipstick-as-blush technique). Her sweet tooth was rivaled only by her sharp wit, she firmly believed that a chocolate milkshake could fix just about anything. She lived with style, laughed with gusto, and left us all wondering if maybe we should be using our lipstick more creatively. A true host and homemaker to her core, Ginger loved to throw a party. As such, a celebration of life will be held in Ginger's honor on February 23, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Clubhouse located in the Riverwalk Community, located at 7459 Riverwalk Circle, West Palm Beach, Florida 33411. Friends and family are invited to gather to share memories and celebrate the remarkable life she led. She will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery, 10941 Southern Blvd., Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411, on February 24, 2025 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Barky Pines Animal Rescue & Sanctuary in her honor and her love of animals. Ginger's legacy endures through the love she shared with those around her. May her memory bring comfort to all who knew her.
