Virginia Carol Slater, 75, of Loxahatchee, FL, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013. Born in Evanston, IL, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Effie Robb Hubbard. Throughout her life, she worked in customer service for many different industries, but above all she was a loving Mom. She was very talented in her crafting abilities, was an avid reader, loved to travel and was a dear friend to all. Virginia's memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 32 years, Robert E. Slater; children, Christopher (Dianne) Woerner, Tom (Lisa) Reed, Lisa (Michael) McCord, Lori Woerner, Karla (Jimmy) Ayala and Hank Woerner; grandchildren, Alex (Alisa) Woerner, Shelby Woerner, Lorita Chapman, Kevina Chapman, Erin Woerner, Abby Woerner, Autumn Ayala, Branden Dean and Justin Dean; great grandchildren, Jayson Woerner and Camden Terry; brother Steve (Sharon) Hubbard; along with other family members and a host of friends. A viewing will be held 6-9 PM on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at Palms West Funeral Home with a service beginning at 7:30 PM.
