Violet Lee Leffingwell

December 9, 1942 — January 27, 2018

Lee V. Leffingwell, 12/9/1942- 01/27/2018 Lee joins her mother, Lila Raquet (Reynolds), her father, Charlie J. Reynolds and many other loved ones. Lee is remembered for living life her way, fighting for others, especially those in her family and the residents of the towns she managed. She is responsible for millions of dollars in grant funding to improve the communities she loved. She measured her success by making a difference and championed many causes to improve lives beyond those she knew. She spent her lifetime as a civil servant developing domestic violence and other programs for women through Sojourner House, as a police officer with the PBSO, as a soldier in the Army, as a Code Enforcement Officer and Town Manager of several towns. Lee is a pioneer who fought for all human rights and was instrumental in fighting for women's issues and bringing their dignity to light in Palm Beach county. She is a voice for women, children and the elderly by ensuring every home was prepared for an impending hurricane, buying and distributing backpacks to kids for back to school and bicycles for underprivileged children for Christmas, delivering hot food to those in need and many other programs. She leaves her legacy to be carried on by her loved ones. "For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me" Matthew 25:35-37 And to quote this amazingly resilient and generous woman, "Wine goes with everything!" Please join us in celebrating her life at Palms West Funeral Home, Wednesday January 31, 2018 from 1-3pm. Service at 2:30
