Vineet Thomas Kuruvilla

Lieutenant Vineet Thomas Kuruvilla (USN) went to be with the Lord on May 12, 2019 in Kochi, India. Vineet (called Don by his family and close friends), was born to Thomas and Mercy Annie Kuruvilla. He was a loving older brother to Ron and Dana, brother-in-law to Sabrina, and uncle to Joseph and Ileana. Vineet graduated in 2001 from the University of Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Zoology. In 2001, he was commissioned as an officer in the US Navy and was assigned to the Naval Flight School in Pensacola, FL for flight training. He was later assigned to the Naval Nuclear Power Training in Charleston, SC. After his nuclear training, he was assigned to US STRATCOM. He retired from active duty in 2005 and earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biomedical Sciences from Florida Atlantic University. He was also admitted to Iowa State University's College of Veterinary Medicine, where he began to pursue a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. At a very early age, Vineet committed his life to the Lord and lived a life that honored Him. As a young man, he was part of various youth missionary ventures to China, India, Haiti and other countries around the world. He touched many hearts through his ministry. Vineet was affectionate by nature and made acquaintances very quickly. He loved his family and friends dearly. He will always be remembered for his bright smile, distinct humor and generous nature.
