Vasiliki Gakopoulos

Beloved Wife, Mother, and Yiayia entered eternal rest on October 25, 2018 near her home in Wellington, FL, previously of Norwalk, CT. She is dearly missed by her husband of sixty years, Nikolaos Gakopoulos and daughters Rina Giottas and her husband Dimitri, Roula Karavitis and her husband Dino, and Nitsa Papadopoulos and her husband George. She loved her five grandchildren more than anything in the world; Stergios Giottas, Nikolaos Giottas and his wife Gabriella, James Karavitis, Alyssa Karavitis, and Dimitri Papadopoulos. She was blessed with a great-grandchild who's on his way. She is predeceased by her parents Kostantinos and Androniki Papadimitroulis. She is survived by her brother Alekos Papadimitroulis and his wife Sophia and sister Maria Giorgiopoulos and her husband Kostantinos from Greece as well as many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. She was caring, loved to garden and went on many family trips while spending extra time with her grand kids. Our dear mom was the best cook and her specialties included Greek delicacies such as pita and koulourakia. Most of all however, she treasured the family puppies, Benny and Brady and looked forward to seeing them every day. She was a parishioner of St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church in West Palm Beach and was devoted to her religion and faith. She will forever be with us in our hearts, memories, and prayers.
