Toribio Garcia, 89, passed away peacefully at his home on April 26, 2008 one day before his 90th birthday. Toribio was born on April 27, 1918 in Holguin, Cuba. He came to the United States in 1947. He resided in Miami where he and his wife Celia raised their three children. Toribio was honest, hardworking and devoted to his family. In 1983, upon retirement, Toribio and Celia moved to West Palm Beach to be closer to their daughter, son-in-law and beloved granddaughters Erin and Margaret. Toribio was predeceased by his mother, brothers and his son, Angel. He leaves to cherish his memory Celia, wife of 62 years; daughter Ana (Kevin); son Tory; granddaughters Erin, Margaret, Ann Marie, and April; grandsons Tommy, Jonathan, David and Angel; and great granddaughters Alyssa and Marissa. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to his caregivers Iliana and Fatime; family friends Connie and Jeannie; the "Gardenia Team" from Hospice, Palm Beach County including Dora, Lydia, Lourdes, and Miguel; and Fr. Camillus Temba from St. Juliana Catholic Church for the comfort and support they provided.
