Todd Matthew Detrick, 47, from Lake Worth, Florida was tragically and unexpectedly taken from his family and friends on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Todd was born to Pamela Young Detrick and Michael Wayne Detrick on August 22, 1975 in Lexington, Kentucky. Todd and his beloved big sister, Kelly Dalman, were raised in Kentucky, Indiana, and Wisconsin before settling in Lake Worth, Florida as children. In high school, Todd developed a love for competitive swimming and, as his family knows, he excelled and was nationally ranked. He continued swimming in college at Western Kentucky University before transferring and graduating from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Psychology. While at UCF, Todd met the love of his life, Marissa McGuire, who would become his wife in 2001. Together they have been raising their three cherished children, Isabella (17), Reilly (11), and Jacob (9) in Lake Worth. As a devoted father, he was often found talking politics and history with Isabella, exploring the latest technology as well as practicing soccer with Reilly, and throwing around a baseball with Jacob while always keeping him close by as his right hand man. Todd's greatest joy in life was being a loving husband and a father, and spending as much time with his family as possible. After college, Todd entered the I.T. industry, working for PepsiCo International. From there, Todd worked alongside his mentor, Dennis, and they established 911 PC MD Inc. which has grown and flourished for almost two decades. While Todd's first priority was always his family, his business and the relationships with his clients were a close second. Keeping his clients' businesses secure and technologically proficient was his focus. His commitment to excellent customer relations led to friendships that went well beyond the business at hand. Todd was known to share stories of his family's adventures while learning about the families of his clients. Throughout his life, Todd was a devoted, caring and thoughtful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, godfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law and friend. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, a patient ear and of course, computer support. He is survived by his wife - his loving and supportive life partner - of almost 22 years, Marissa; three adoring children, Isabella, Reilly and Jacob; his dedicated mother, Pamela Detrick; his father, Michael Detrick; his loving sister Kelly and brother-in-law John Dalman; his parents-in-law, Gerri and Mark Rentschler and Mary Pat and Lyle McGuire; his brother-in-law David McGuire and sister-in-law Charis; six adored nieces and nephews Blake, Jonathan, Drew, Faith, Madison, and Christian, goddaughter Clara and so many more dear family and friends. Family and friends are invited to gather at a Celebration of Todd's Life at Palms West Funeral home on Sunday, March 26th from 4-7pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Boynton Beach, on Monday, March 27th at 10am.
