Timothy Checetto

On Monday April 10, 2023, Tim Checetto husband and father of five children, passed away at age 57. A resident of Palm Beach County FL, Tim was born on November 22, 1965 in Camden, NJ and grew up to attend Collingswood High School. As a young father he began his telecom career at RCA in Cherry Hill, NJ. Tim moved up quickly through the service department and was promoted to Sales Engineer after RCA was acquired by Mitel Communications. From there, Tim went on to a successful career in regional and national Telecom sales with companies Tadiran, Whaleback, Siemens and Unify (Atos). On November 3rd, 2001, Tim married Wendy Amato. Together they raised their blended family: Anthony, Tim, Savannah, Alexander and Matthew. Tim had a passion for cooking. He and Wendy enjoyed many years of hosting Sunday dinners and boisterous holiday meals for their large family and friends. His beloved Philadelphia Eagles were another passion, having watched many games from his seats in section 135 alongside his best friend John Povernick. Tim was an avid music lover and his varied collection included The Rolling Stones, Johnny Cash, Snoop Dog, Black Sabbath, Frank Sinatra, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Post Modern Jukebox to name a few. Tim greatly enjoyed spending time by the beach and found solace walking along the ocean. He will be remembered for his quick wit, his easy smile, his story telling, his amazing cooking skills, and above all his love for his family and friends. Tim was preceded in death by his father, Alfred "Butch" Checetto. He is survived by his wife Wendy, their children, Anthony, Tim, Savannah, Alexander, and Matthew, his mother Nancy Hotz (Jack), brothers Steven (Gisele) and Robert (Stephanie), niece Katelyn, nephews Steven, Nicholas and Dominic, and grandnephew Jaxon. A service will be held at Palms West Funeral Home in Royal Palm Beach. Time and date will be announced shortly. A memorial service will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
