Thomas John Gemmati

After a two year battle with cancer, Thomas John Gemmati passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on the morning of May 14, 2020. Tom was born on July 21, 1955 in Niagara Falls, New York. In the early 1980s he relocated to south Florida, where he spent the past 40 years living between Broward, Palm Beach and most recently St Lucie County. Tom was a career electrician. He attended Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls, New York, where he began learning his trade. He further honed his skills while working at his father's business, CG Electric, also in Niagara Falls. He later worked at Meisner Electric for 18 years, with his most recent employment as a supervisor at Power Generation of Lake Worth, Florida. Tom is preceded in death by his wife, Tracy Gemmati, parent's Carlo and Janet Gemmati, and his sister Marie Kittle. He is survived by his siblings, Carl Jr, Rosanne, Phillip, Michael, Elizabeth, and Carla. He leaves behind his son, Tom Jr, daughter, Christine, and two granddaughters Gracie and Mia, who loved their Pop-Pop dearly. Tom loved spending time with his family. He looked forward to our big family gatherings playing bocce ball, playing cards with his twin brother Phil and cherished visits with his granddaughters, who lit up his life. He had a kind and giving spirit. His kindness, humor and laughter will be missed by all. Services will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Monday, May 18th. Tom will be laid to rest beside his wife at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Florida.
