In Loving Memory of Terry Pinto It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude that we announce the passing of Terry Pinto, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who left us on September 14th, 2024. Born in 1939 in Trinidad, Terry was the cherished second son of Eaualie Pinto and younger brother of Trevor Pinto. His journey began in the vibrant heart of Trinidad, where he grew up surrounded by the warmth of family and the rich cultural tapestry of his homeland. Terry's life was a mosaic of dedication and passion. He first met his wife, Rose, in a serendipitous encounter on a train commuting to work—a meeting that blossomed into a beautiful partnership spanning decades. Together, they raised six wonderful children: Rosanna, Anthony, Gregory, Louis, Terrene, and Terrella. Terry's legacy extends further through his 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit. Throughout his 85 years, Terry embraced a myriad of roles and professions with unwavering commitment. From his early days as a courier, Bible salesman, firefighter, and ambulance driver to his work as an estate proprietor and purveyor of local goods, Terry's work ethic was second to none. In 1986, he brought his indomitable spirit to the USA, where he excelled as a restaurant worker and residential and commercial painter, always finding joy and purpose in his endeavors. A devout Catholic and an exceptional singer, Terry was known affectionately as the "Trini Sinatra," captivating audiences with his soulful performances both in Trinidad and the USA. His love for music was matched only by his culinary prowess, especially his specialty dishes like fry bake and dahlpouri roti, which became a staple at family gatherings. Terry's hospitality, generosity, and outgoing personality made him a cherished friend and a beloved member of every community he touched. Despite facing life's challenges with strength and resilience, Terry remained a beacon of positivity and a testament to the power of unwavering faith and love. His remarkable life was a celebration of joy, compassion, and boundless energy—a life that touched many and will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Terry Pinto will be deeply missed by his family and countless friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, in the melodies he sang, and in the many ways he enriched the lives of others. May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his legacy of love and kindness continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have shared in his extraordinary journey.
