Teresa (Bolumen) Hernandez, age 89, passed away October 16th, 2025. She will be missed dearly. Born in Artemisa, Pinar del Río, Cuba, she was the daughter of Francisco and Sara (Pruneda) Bolumen. Following college, she worked as an elementary school teacher. She later married her late husband, Roger Hernandez, and gave birth to her daughter, Maria. Following their family's moves to Madrid, Spain and Providence, Rhode Island, she ultimately settled in West Palm Beach, Florida, where she lived until her passing. Teresa was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be remembered for her warmth of spirit, selfless nature, gift for storytelling, and deep love for family and friends. She enjoyed reading, singing, cooking, traveling, the ocean, and sports of all kinds, especially as a skilled swimmer. She is survived by her daughter, Maria, and her grandchildren, Brendan and Kristina, as well as a large, loving family. A memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles Catholic Church in Royal Palm Beach, Florida, on Friday, November 14th at 1:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
