Talli Borg-Horvath

March 8, 1962 — February 7, 2012

Talli Borg-Horvath, age 49, lost her battle with cancer Tuesday, February 7th, 2012. Talli was born on March 8th, 1962 the only child to Mollie and Dale Parlette. She was daddy's little girl from day one and they had a special father/daughter bond. Talli grew up in Dearborn Michigan and attended k-12 at Divine Child Catholic School. Her passion included cheerleading, dancing and theatre. Talli had a love/hate relationship with Notre Dame Football. She loved to watch them and hated to see them lose. She attended Eastern Michigan University where she met her lifelong friends, Vicki, Sue and Angel who remained her strength till the end. Realizing that helping people was her calling she graduated from Alma School of Nursing in 1986. Her favorite job was her last, at CARP in West Palm Beach, FL. She was able to give back to the place that once helped her. Talli's life changed in 2009 when she began her life of sobriety. The people she met the past 3 years can be summed up in one word "amazing". Talli wants to thank all her sober sisters especially Nilda, Simona, Elsa and Ronnie. She will be dearly missed by all the members of her group as she will miss them. Talli is survived by her only child, Sean Borg, 23, of Canton, Michigan. He was the apple of her eye and she adored him. Talli recently married the love of her life Joseph Horvath of Wellington Fl. Talli was immediately part of the Horvath family and will be missed by son James and daughter Dayna, her in-laws Mary, Todd, Barbara, Elaine and Mike. 49 years was not enough time on this earth for Talli Borg-Horvath to have done all the things she wanted to do. She touched our lives with her smile and warm personality but God has decided he needed this beautiful redhead in Heaven and she is now with him. The family is requesting donations, in lieu of flowers, to Hospice of Palm Beach County Foundation. 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, Florida 33407. Talli was diagnosed with soft tissue sarcoma in May of 2011. Cancer stole her from us. Talli wants to recognize the following for making the last 9 months of her life possible; the nursing and rehabilitation staff at St Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach, the nursing staff at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Palm Beach, Dr. Scoma, Dr. Rosen, Dr. Smukler and Pam Lester ARNP, DNS. A special thanks to Dr. Smith and the nursing staff at Hospice of Palm Beach, who were the angels that guided Talli on her final journey to Heaven. A special Thanks to everyone who made Talli's 50th birthday party the best one she ever had. Thank you to everyone.
