Susan Carron Ottmer

Susan Carron Ottmer, 60, of Wellington, FL, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 after a brief illness. Susan was born in Staten Island and raised in Harrison, New York. She graduated from Harrison High School in 1968 and attended the College of Emporia, Kansas. Susan married George Ottmer, Jr. in 1978 and has resided in Palm Beach County since then. Susan's memory will be cherished by her loving husband George, son Thomas, daughters Victoria and Julie, brothers Anthony (Charlotte) Sorrentino and Tim Carron, nieces, nephews and her special grand-niece Kaci. She will also be missed by her Yorkies Chloie, Lilli and Casper. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Vera Carron. A viewing will be held 6-8 PM on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at Palms West Funeral Home with a wake service beginning at 7:30 PM. A Mass of the Resurrection will be said 11 AM on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 at St. Rita's Catholic Church in Wellington, FL. Interment will be at Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. In recent years Susan had volunteered her time for NAMI/PBC (National Alliance on Mental Illness) serving as a member of the board of directors and facilitating Family Support Groups for relatives of those with a mental illness. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a charitable contribution be made in Susan's name to NAMl/Palm Beach County, 1520 10th Ave. N. Suite 0, Lake Worth, Florida 33461.
