Steven Lee Nelson

Steve Lee Nelson, 67 years old of Wellington FL, son of Robert Lee Nelson and Margaret Harris, passed away after a long struggle with illness Wednesday evening, September 9th, 2015 under Hospice Care in West Palm Beach. He was born April 14, 1948 in Biloxi, MS. Steve was a man who came by friends very easily, embraced life and enjoyed it to the fullest. He was an avid Miami Dolphins fan and gun enthusiast, enjoyed cars and loved his family. Steve lost his battle with cancer but in the hearts of his children and grandchildren, will always remain the patriarch of the Nelson family. He is survived by his loving sons, Robert and Rodney Nelson; sisters Annette Finch, Connie Bentley and Audrey Fake; brother James Lombardo; and grandchildren Melinda Pack, Nathan, Dustin, Brittany, Tara and Dakota Nelson. He was predeceased by brothers Donnie and Eric (Butch) Nelson and his sister Rita (Dianne). He also leaves behind Cynthia Jowers and Nancy Stoddard, who cared for him deeply, along with an extended group of family and friends that will truly miss him. A private memorial will be held in his remembrance. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Research Institute or St. Jude Hospital.
