Stephen James Hughes

Stephen James Hughes was born on January 18, 1987, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Karen Hughes and the late James Hughes. He moved to Palm Beach County, Florida, as a young child and proudly called it home for the rest of his days.

Stephen had a heart bigger than life itself. To Stephen, everyone deserved a smile, a conversation, and the chance to become a friend. The friendships he built meant more to him than words can say. The number of people whose lives he touched is truly impossible to count.

Stephen loved animals with all his heart. They brought him comfort and happiness, and his love for them reflected the kind and gentle spirit he carried with him every day.

Life wasn't always easy for Stephen, and he faced more than his share of challenges. But through it all, he never lost his caring heart or his ability to make others laugh. He had a way of leaving people with a smile, and that is how so many will remember him.

Stephen is survived by his mother, Karen Hughes; his sister, Katie Waters, and her husband, Cory Waters; and his beloved niece, Lydia Waters. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hughes, on January 12, 2023.

Although his time with us was far too short, Stephen leaves behind a lifetime of memories, laughter, and friendships that will never be forgotten. He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, his many friends, and everyone whose life was made brighter by knowing him.
