Stephanie Marie Shaw, 33, of Wellington, FL, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2009 after a long battle against all odds. Stephanie was born July 15, 1976 in Carlisle, England and came to Wellington in 1980. She never backed away from a challenge and this was no exception. She fought hard and we are truly proud of her. Stephanie loved dancing, music, traveling, shoes, animals, planes, her family, but most of all, horses. Horses were not just a hobby to her but the Grand Passion of her life. Without a horse she merely existed, they filled her soul. Stephanie was a graduate of Wellington High School 1994 and FAU class of 2005. The 11 years between she was a world traveler and social butterfly. She went to polo matches in Argentina, America, England and Spain. She went to horse races whenever she could including the Kentucky Derby, Breeders Cup and Ladies Day at Royal Ascot. She would dance every dance at the Players Club in season and possessed a wicked sense of humor. Stephanie?s memory will be cherished by her mother Margaret (Hind) Shaw; step-father, Edward Kellner; father, Leslie Shaw; step-mother, Antonieta; grand-parents, Brian and June Cronshaw; many aunts, uncles and cousins in America, England and Peru; hundreds of heart broken friends across the world and 2 dogs, Henley and Cooper. We are thankful for those years when she truly lived her own life. We know that now she is riding horses in Heaven and she is whole again. On her Facebook page she wrote, ?In my next life, I want to be an heiress, drink lots of champagne, own my own plane, ride and show my horses, watch my thoroughbreds race, donate my monies only to charities that help animals, and collect men from around the globe.? We wish to thank all of her friends and our friends and neighbors for their support through these terrible days since her accident. Also the staff at her job, TMS Health, who only knew her for 4 weeks, but never forgot to pray for her, such was her impact on people. We give special thanks to Andrea Panelo, her husband Martin, her son Javier and her daughter Sarah, who was Stephanie?s sweet angel. Also her best friend, Erica Freeman-Myers, for being her friend for 20 years. Forgive us if we did not mention you by name but know that each of you helped, even if it was just by thinking of her. We would like you to join us in a celebration of her life from 2-4 PM on Sunday, August 30, 2009 at Palms West Funeral Home. No mourning clothes. Bring your photos and your memories, we will rejoice that we knew her. ?God forbid I should go to a Heaven with no horses? In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation in Stephanie?s name to any animal charity you like.
