Stella Emelda De Geneste

January 2, 1934 — January 3, 2018

Stella de Geneste was born in Trinidad on December 29, 1934 to Jackson Hem Lee and Lucy Pariag. At the early age of 16 she was granted a driver's license drove her father's car, garden tractors and hunted in the wild with their 16 gauge shot gun. Born to Multi-racial parents, she enjoyed cooking both East Indian and Chinese dishes which she raised her children on and proudly taught to them. She migrated to the U.S. in the early 1970"s and became a Permanent Resident then went on to become a US Citizen. She brought her husband and eight of her children from Trinidad, while the oldest child had already established residence in Canada and the youngest was born in the US. She lived her life enjoying the successes of her children and the extension of her many grand and great grandchildren. Her religion was Roman Catholic and she taught us to pray the Lord's Prayer. These verses were also very significant: "He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me into the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou are with me: thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." She was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Isadore de Geneste. She suffered from Dementia for the last ten years. Her last breathe was taken on January 3, 2018 at 3:05pm surrounded by love ones. May she rest in PEACE.
