Stanley A. Seymour, Jr., 90, of Wellington, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012. Born in Miami, FL, he was the son of Stanley A. and Balfour Seymour, Sr. Stan served our country proudly during WWII with the U.S Army and received the Bronze Star for his ingenuity in integrating a radio relay switch which was used on hand held microphones there by making it possible for the soldiers to talk and listen without the necessity of a radio operator. He was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Wellington for the past 7 years. Stanley's memory will be cherished by his children; Emily (Glen) Pack, Wesley E. Seymour, Stanley A. (Jane) Seymour III, Conrad L. (Cheryl) Seymour and Devanand (Rani) Bhagwan, who was like another son to him; 9 grandchildren; along with other family members and friends. A visitation will be held from 7-9 PM on Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Palms West Funeral Home. A church service will be held 11 AM on Friday, June 1, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Wellington. Following services, Stanley will be laid to rest with military honors in South Florida National Cemetery joining his loving and devoted wife Carol who passed away in 2007. He was also pre-deceased by his daughter Jennifer Seymour who passed away in 1960. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Stanley's memory to either the First Baptist Church of Wellington, 12700 Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington, FL 33414 or Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
