Simone R. Debrosse

Simone Debrosse, age 83 of West Palm Beach, passed away on April 30, 2025. Simone was born on May 31, 1941, to Emile Roumer and Therese Fanfan in Jeremie, Haiti. Simone spent her career as a dedicated and celebrated Registered Nurse at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York City for over forty years. Simone married Blondel Debrosse in 1971. Simone went on to have two children, Diandra Debrosse and Dean Debrosse. Simone was an avid reader and enjoyed Star Trek and politics. She was closest to her sisters Sary Roumer and Philippa Jabouin, and her brother Michel Roumer. Simone was predeceased by her son, Dean Debrosse; her father and mother Emile Roumer and Therese Fanfan, and her brothers Michel Roumer and Raymond Roumer. She is survived by her husband Blondel, daughter, Diandra, and her granddaughters Zoe and Anais; her daughter-in-law Apryl Henry, her grandson Deen Debrosse, her sisters Sary Roumer, Phillipa Jabouin (husband Serge Jabouin), Agathe Roumer and Maheva Roumer; her sisters in-law Wilberte Roumer, Andrea Pollmeier, Regine Dupuy, Michelle Alexandre, and Marie-Antoinette Dorismond; her brothers-in-law Ricot Dupuy and Gerald Dupuy; her cousins Pepita Adonis, Cecilia Roumer, Michele Conde, Leopold Roumer, Patrick Roumer (wife Margaret), Lucienne Roumer, Guy Roumer, Valerie Pierre, Yvette Delice, Tony Kavanaght; her nieces and nephews Tamara Rizzo (husband Christopher and son Diamenn), Stephan Adonis (wife Marie and sons Rubens, Danny and Gregory), Raguel Roumer, Aida Roumer, Boyo Roumer, Saradjne Roumer, Taina Roumer, Katiana Roumer, Cassandre Mars (daughters Ashley, Marsha and Jessica), Judith Bastien, Carl Bastien (wife Ketisha and son Frederick), Raynald Bastien (wife Jessica and daughter Jada), Patrick Bastien (wife Merlyndia and daughter Aria), Phillipa Jabouin (daughter Leila), Priscilla Jabouin and Emilie Jabouin, and a host of family members and friends. Viewing services will be held at Palm West Funeral Home on May 9, 2025 at 10:00am in Palm Beach, Florida. Service will follow at St. Rita's Catholic Church, and interment shall be at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery of the Diocese of Palm Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital for Cancer Research in Simone's name.
