Shirley Ann Wilder, 83 years old, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2018 in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. Shirley was born on February 16, 1935 to Carlton Floyd and Frances Hendrix Floyd in Eastman, Georgia. Shirley moved to Florida when she was a young girl, graduating from Palm Beach High School. She married the love of her life, William "Bill" Wilder in 1952 and was married 53 years, raising 3 children. Shirley worked for the Tax Collector's office in Palm Beach County and later in Dade County, Florida, retiring in May of 2000. She was always her happiest when surrounded by her family who she loved more than life. Always a smile and comforting advice for anyone that needed it. She was "mom" to many – she loved all of her "children". For the last 7-1/2 years her home away from home was Royal Manor Health and Rehab and as bad as she really wanted to go HOME, she was accepting of her new lifestyle and was loved by many there. She had many comforting caretakers who genuinely made her feel loved. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Bill, her mother, sister and granddaughter. She is survived by her daughters, Pat (Wayne) Rogers of Royal Palm Beach, FL and Pam Mallamo of Lawrenceville, GA; her son, Ken Wilder of Tulsa, OK; her grandchildren, Bill Ryan, Kenny Rogers, Natalie (Wes) Prescott, Kimberley Rogers, Jaclyn (Matt) Simmons; Jennifer Wilder (deceased); Kevin (Bethany) Robins, Jessica Robins, Michael Robins; her great-grandchildren, Brooklyn Simmons, Griffin Simmons, Wesley Prescott, Leila Robins, Hayden Simmons, Ethan Robins and Wyatt Prescott. Shirley is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Muriel Wilder of Corpus Christi, TX; many nieces, nephews and friends. A special thank-you to the Opal Team of Trustbridge Hospice. Forever in our hearts mom, we love you "more".
