Shirley Ann Richey

Shirley Ann Richey, 89, formally of Dayton, Ohio most recently Lake Worth Florida passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026 She was born April 7, 1936 to Edwin and Elizabeth Pollard. Shirley spent a large part of her life in Dayton Ohio, where she built lasting friendships and devoted herself to her family and career as a branch manager at Bank One, now part of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Jerome Holtel; her parents, Edwin and Elizabeth; her son, James Richey, and grandson, Spencer Richey.

She is survived by her sister, Judith Grubb and her children, Timothy Richey(Martha), Cynthia McGarry (William), Christopher Richey(Gina), Amy Eby(Bruce), and Mary Jane Lamping(Robert). She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Shirley enjoyed playing mah-jong, canasta, sudoku and crypto quip. She was an avid viewer of HGTV, the Hallmark Channel and Food Network. She took much delight in entertaining family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family request donations to be sent to Saint Jude children’s research Hospital.
