Sheila A. King (Mitchell), beloved mother, grandmother and wife, passed away peacefully in her husband's loving arms on February 7, 2017, at the age of 66. She was known as a loving and generous person always dedicating herself to her cherished immediate family, friends and close relatives. Her quick wit, warm smile and attentive nature will be dearly missed. Sheila was a native of Woodbury, New Jersey, born to Benedict and Benita Mitchell, May 22, 1950. Upon graduating from West Deptford High school she met her sweetheart Bill while working at Rutgers Law School and they were married at the Kemble Memorial United Methodist Church on June 2, 1973. They immediately moved and took residence in South Florida where she was eventually employed for many years in the Student Services department of the Palm Beach County, Florida School District. Sheila greatly cherished children and was equally beloved by all of the students that she encountered over the years. Sheila is survived by her loving husband Bill, dedicated children Brian (Carolina), Angela, and Daniel (Mariana) and one of her greatest sources of pride and joy, her three grandchildren Kyle, Elijah and Valentina. Sheila loved watching her family grow up and involved herself in all aspects of their lives. She is also survived by her loving sisters Rosalind (Steven) Kaska, Scottsdale, Arizona, Linda (William) Burris, Moorestown, New Jersey, nephew Steven Kaska, Denver, CO, and niece Alexandra Burris, Moorestown, New Jersey. Sheila cherished traveling with her husband and especially enjoyed their frequent trips to Hawaii and other romantic islands along with spending many relaxing weekends at their Hutchinson Island condo. Theirs was a treasured marriage which cherished the virtues of honor and trust. The family greatly appreciates the thoughtfulness and support of relatives and friends and opens an invitation to a viewing to be held from 6-8PM on Thursday, February 16th, 2017 at Palms West Funeral Home located at 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL followed by a Memorial Service to be held on Saturday, February 18th, 2017 at 11:00AM at St. Peters United Methodist Church located at 12200 W Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington, FL.
