Shawn Craig Shelton October 11th, 1981-December 4th, 2023 With great sorrow and bittersweet remembrance, We announce the passing of Shawn Craig Shelton, Who went home to be with God on December 4th, 2023 at the age of 42. He was a devoted son and grandson, a loving brother and stepfather, and an adored uncle and friend. He had an infectious smile and an unshakeable sense of humor. He devoted his spare time to doing what he loved, which included fishing, boating, poker, and passionately supporting the Miami Hurricanes football team. He was a talented pool player, even participating in tournaments with his team. However, his favorite way to spend his time was with his family and friends, whom he loved, very much. Shawn is remembered as a sweet, attentive son who called his mother at least three times a day. Shawn is a Lance Corporal with the United States Marine Corps and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was known for his fiery devotion to his country and took great pride in his service. Shawn is survived by his parents, Sandy and Carl Moore, Craig and Tammy Shelton; his stepson, John-John; his sister, Tawny Shelton; his brother Dakota Shelton; his brother, Clayton Moore, his wife, Kristi, and their children, Reeve, Harper, and Harlee; his brother, Cody Moore, and wife, Allie, and their children Connor and Chase, among numerous other Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Shawn was proceeded in death by his wife, Tracy Shelton; his grandparents, Rufus and June Vandall; and his grandparents, Bud and Cleo Barwick.
