With deep love and sorrow, the family of Sharon Kay Driscoll Ugarte announces her passing on June 14, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on January 15, 1947, in Kansas City, Missouri, Sharon was the beloved daughter of Robert and Mary "Chloe" Driscoll. She grew up surrounded by family and shared a close bond with her two brothers, John and Robert, a relationship she cherished throughout her life. Sharon dedicated her life to caring for others – first as loving mother to her children Daniel, Denise, Deborah and Driscoll; then as a preschool teacher; and later as a nurturing grandmother. She was the best mom to her four children, and an even better grandmother to her four granddaughters. She dedicated her life to her family, and they felt that in the love, support and guidance she provided. She was the kindest, caring and thoughtful mother to her children. Her career as a teacher touched the lives of countless students, whom she guided with patience, kindness, and wisdom. In her later years, she found great joy in caring for her grandchildren, offering them the same gentle guidance and unconditional love she had given her own children, but with a little more sugar. She is lovingly remembered by her brother, children and grandchildren, all of whom were the center of her world. Sharon's warmth, strength, and generosity will leave a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the lives she helped shape, the love she gave so freely, and the family she held so dearly. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her brother John and eldest son Daniel, and is survived by her brother Robert (Holly), daughters Denise and Deborah, her son Driscoll (Luciana), and granddaughters Sophia Michelle, Kayla, Khloe and Savannah, who will never forget the love she brought to their lives. A service will be held to celebrate her life on Friday, June 20, 2025, with visitation from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and a memorial service from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The family asks that you honor Sharon's memory by taking a moment to show kindness, teach someone something new, or simply care for those around you – just as she always did.
