Sharon Kay Tanner, 75, of West Palm Beach, FL, passed away on May 16, 2022, after losing her battle with liver cirrhosis. Sharon was born on December 29, 1946, to James and Virginia Larimer in Toledo Ohio. After Sharon graduated from Rogers High School in 1964, she went on to beauty school. In 1960, Sharon met Keith Tanner and their love story began. Sharon and Keith went on to have three children, Ronda Sue Albert (Joseph), Dawn Marie Elsner and Douglas James Tanner (Elizabeth). Sharon was a devoted grandma to six amazing grandchildren Taylor, Jake, Ashley and Kaitlyn Elsner, and Michael and Emilee Tanner. She beamed when asked about her great-grandchildren Paisly, Sadie, Sophia and Isaiah. In 2004, Sharon and Keith retired and spent their time traveling and camping the United States, where Sharon perfected her passion for cooking in cast iron over the open campfire. Sharon loved baskets, scrap booking, Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Disney and building family traditions. Sharon will always be remembered for making fabulous homemade apple pies brought to any gathering in her favorite basket. Sharon was predeceased by her parents and five siblings: Loretta Rozek Gibson, James Larimer, Barbara Babiuch Knisel, Judi Gruetter, and John Larimer. She is survived by brother, Richard Larimer and sister, Donna Witte. Services will be held at St. Michael Lutheran Church, 1925 Birkdale Drive, Wellington, FL on June 4, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, Trustbridge, at https://trustbridge.com/ Trustbridge provided Sharon dignity and comfort during her final days.
