Sharon Ackerman

On Friday, October 21, 2022, Sharon Ackerman, loving wife and mother passed away at age 77. Sharon was born on June 20, 1945 in Baltimore, MD to Charles and Claire Dayhoff. She received her Bachelor's Degree in Education from SUNY New Paltz and her Master's Degree in Education from Virginia Tech, and was a well-respected educator for over 43 years in Loudoun County Public Schools in Virginia. On October 28, 1967, Sharon married Irv Ackerman and they raised a daughter, Lea. Sharon loved international travel, listening to live music, laughing, spending time with family, and doing laundry. Sharon is survived by her husband Irv and daughter Lea. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 3:00pm at the Palms West Funeral Home 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations are made to a breast cancer charity of your choosing.
