She was the owner and operator of Mahwah Florist in New Jersey and an award winning glass artisan. Shari moved to Florida in 2000. She was inspired by her father Roy's creativity at a very early age and she channeled her passion to create into a broad spectrum of media and techniques. Shari enjoyed and became proficient with textiles early in her development. From spinning yarn, to color dying and weaving fabrics, her ability to begin with raw materials and envision their potential, yielded works of art that inspired others and fueled her passion for creativity. Over the years, Shari directed her creativity to glasswork, becoming a proficient and award winning glass artisan. Inspired by nature, spirituality and personal growth, she expressed her connection to the earth through her work. Shari shared warmth, nurturing and love genuinely and generously with everyone who came to know her. She was a mentor to countless developing artists and throughout her career, influenced the professional paths of many who came under her tutelage. The outpouring of love from those who have known her through the years is a beautiful demonstration of the person she chose to be and the influence her life has had on others.
