Sarah Ellen Threlkeld

Sarah Ellen Threlkeld - 85, Belle Glade, Florida, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2014. She was born August 14, 1928 in Sanford, Florida to the late Antionette Marie (Tarbell) and William F. Bossidy. She is survived by children Jeffery, Belle Glade, Florida, fiancé Maritza Banegas, Elizabeth (Lisa) Ellis, Loxahatchee, Florida and Cathleen Rhinehart, Belle Glade, Florida; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Erin, Kole, Bridgette, Zachary, Benjamin and Kaylee; four great grandchildren Seth, Aaliyah, Gabriel and Cayson. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Threlkeld in 2005, granddaughter Amanda and sisters Maryann Brannen of Cocoa, Florida and Alice Sharpe of Roswell, Georgia. Ellen graduated from Cocoa High School in 1946, attended FSU graduating in 1950 with a BA in Elementary Education. She married James (Jim) T. Threlkeld in June of 1951. Ellen taught at elementary schools around the Glades area for over 30 years retiring from Rosenwald in South Bay, Florida. She attended St. Benz Catholic Church and St. John Episcopal Church in Belle Glade, Florida during her years there. A visitation will be held at Palms West Funeral Home on Friday, March 7, 2014 from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM with a Mass of the Resurrection at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles at 10:30 AM. Burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery.
