Sandra Jean Stossell

Stossell, Sandra Jean, 70 Wellington, Florida Monday, November 4, 2013 Sandra was born in Buffalo, NYon July 10, 1943 to August (Bud) and Elizabeth (McCabe) Colby. She is survived by her devoted husband George Sossell, and three children, Steven of Olney, Maryland, Michael of Lake Worth, FL, and Lee-Anne of Aliso Viejo, CA., a brother Charles (Chuck) Colby and sister Suzanne Lettman of Tamarac, FL., three grandchildren, Sydney, Michael, and CJ Stossell. Sandra was pre-deceased by her parents. She also enjoyed having a large number of neices and nephews in addition to 52 first cousins. Sandra was a graduate of Damian College in Buffalo with a BA in Elementary Education. She came from a family of teachers from which she taught K thru 5 at Vienna Elemetary in Northern Virginia. After raising 3 children, she worked briefly with the Department of Energy in Gaithersburg, MD, as a contractor. After moving to Florida, her continued love for little children brought her to the Anne Kolb Nature Center in Hollywood where she volunteered introducing little ones to the wonders of Mother Nature in South Florida. On Saturday, November 9, 2013 we invite you to join us in celebrating her life at a memorial service from 6 to 8pm followed by a reception at the Palms West Funeral Home 110 Business Park Way, Royal Palm Beach, Fl 33411. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407, or the American Cancer Society.
