Ruth Ann Maness Propper of Wellington, FL, 61, died July 4, 2017, due to illness. Ruth Ann was born in Berlin, Germany to a US Army family. She cherished her family's service and sacrifices for our country. As part of this military experience she counted it a privilege to have lived in a variety of states with South Carolina, California, Virginia, and Hawaii holding special memories. After having lived in Cocoa, and in several locations in Florida, California, and Maui, Hawaii, she chose to reside in Wellington, from where she managed/promoted entertainers, most notably, the comedian Gallagher. She also worked with her then husband, Gary Propper, to bring the Ninja Turtles comics to the movies. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University and Cocoa High School and was a lifetime Clemson University football enthusiast. She was also an enthusiastic dog lover who counted the 5 German Short Haired Springer Pointers she raised as especially cherished companions. She was a collector of Native American art and had pieces from both established and contemporary artists. She also loved, and collected music and owned the rights to many popular songs. Ruth Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Brigadier General L.E. Maness and Mary C. Maness, and her brother, L.E. Lewis, Jr. She is survived by her brother, James F. Maness and sister-in-law Melissa B. Maness and nephews, Timothy Maness; and Matthew Maness and wife Belen Almaguer Maness; Michelle Maness Mahoney and husband, Thomas Mahoney and great nephews, Thomas Mahoney, Devin Mahoney, and great niece, Maggie Mahoney; cousins, Carrol Woodcock , Peggy Howard, and Arthur McMeans. She was most fortunate to have many loyal friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to Joan Marino, Robert Gunther, and Jacob Young for looking after her and her dogs during her illness. . In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts could be given to Wounded Warriors, or a no kill animal shelter.
