Ruth Anita Read Reed Kalmbacher Mannisto passed away June 8, 2017, at home in West Palm Beach, FL, at the age of 94. Born August 10, 1922, in Cambridge, MA, she was the only child of Katherine Read. She grew up in Birmingham, AL. She was married to John (Jack) G. Kalmbacher (deceased) of Rutherford, NJ, and Walter Mannisto (deceased) of Elmwood Park, NJ. She lived in Midland Park, NJ, for 38 years before retiring to Lake Worth, FL. Ruth is survived by her daughter, Anita Kalmbacher Warnet (Russ), son, J. Gregory Kalmbacher Jr. (Carol), and four grandchildren, Hannah Kalmbacher Bryan (James Paul), Gabriel Kalmbacher (Anna), Kirk Kalmbacher (Caroline), and David Kalmbacher, and 11 great-grandchildren, Micah, Judah, Julia, Caleb, Eden, Lydia, Kebar, and Zion Kalmbacher, and Rachel, Jonathan (JJ), and Talitha (Tilly) Bryan. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Ellen Mannisto Loring (Mitchell), John Mannisto (Lanette), Anne Marie Mannisto, and Hugh Mannisto (Laura). Ruth was a member of Trinity Reformed Church and later, the United Methodist Church, both in Midland Park, NJ, as well as St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Lake Worth, FL, where a memorial service will be held in the future.
