Russell Owen Dalton, 70, passed away Tuesday November 19th, 2019 at Wellington Hospital with his family by his side. Russ was born September 7th, 1949 to the late Martin and Pauline Dalton from Pennsylvania. He was a 1967 graduate of Jersey Shore High School. He enlisted in the United States Army in October of 1967 and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. After serving he married his wife, Nina, February 28th, 1971. He was employed for 30 years by Your Building Center, Pennsylvania. Russ enjoyed woodworking, spending time with family, and traveling with his wife. His favorite destination was a trip to Machu Picchu, Peru. His family will miss his stories and his jokes. His favorite saying was "Be careful amongst the English," in which he used to say as "Goodbye." Besides his parents, Russ was proceeded in death by his brothers Martin and Tom Dalton. Surviving in addition to wife Nina are his children: John Murray and wife Tracy, Sandra Finnegan, Russell Dalton, Jr., and wife Michelle, Angela Dalton-Goldberg and husband Charles, Martin Dalton, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers William Dalton and wife Anna, John Dalton, Paul Dalton, Rich Dalton and wife Vicki, and numerous nieces and nephews. At Russell's request there will be no visitation or services, just a family celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to your preferred Veteran or Humane Society organization.
