Dr. Rufus O. Jimerson was born in Newark, NJ., on November 11, 1948 and was one of three children born to Mrs. Mary E. Jimerson-Spikes and Mr. Rufus Jimerson. Rufus was an advocate for education and a graduate from: Rutgers University, NJ, 1987 with a Ed.D degree Kean University, NJ, 1981 with a MA degree Columbia University, NY, 1978 with a Ed.M degree Rutgers University, NJ, 1977 with a M.A. T. degree New Jersey City University, NJ, with a B.A. degree He held several positions throughout his career: Director of Student Teaching, Lincoln University, PA. Associate Professor of History, Pensacola College. FL. Veterans Advisor, Essex County College, NJ. Administrator of math and Technology, Saint Peter's College, NJ. Dr. Jimerson attained many accomplishments in his life including becoming a published author of 60 books on Amazon & Kindle. His books deal with the subjects of history, politics, social problems, diversity, multiculturalism and environmental racism. Left to cherish his memory are his son Jamal Jimerson, granddaughter Leila Jimerson, grandson Malcolm Jimerson, sister Cynthia Jimerson, Joyce Jimerson and a host of relatives and friends.
