Roy Alexander Saunders

Roy Alexander Saunders, 71, of Wellington, FL, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2009. Born in Jamaica, he was the son of (Deceased) Sylvester and Milicent (Galimore) Saunders. After serving in the U.S. Army for 4 years, he was employed by McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing Aircraft in St. Louis, MO, as an aeronautical engineer for 41 years. Shortly after retirement, he relocated to Florida. Roy?s memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 42 years, Pearl (McLaren) Saunders; children, Mel (Theresa) and Bari; mother, Milicent Saunders; brother, Derick (Thelma); and several nieces, nephews, and many other family members and friends. A visitation will be held 5-8 PM on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at Palms West Funeral Home. A church service will be held 11 AM on Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church on 6th Ave in Lake Worth. Burial will follow at South Florida VA National Cemetery with honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent in Roy?s name to Lake Osborne Presbyterian Church, 2101 6th Ave S, Lake Worth, FL 33461.
