Roy "Dennis" Burgess

Roy "Dennis" Burgess 64, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away quietly at Boca Raton Community Hospital on July 19, 2012, surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with kidney and liver disease. Dennis was born March 6, 1948 in Rochester, NY to Leon Burgess (decesased) and Gloria Dalba. He married his high school sweetheart and devoted wife, Santa "Sandy" Burgess in November 1967. The pride and joy of his life was his daughter, Dawn Rusnak, son-in-law Gregory Rusnak, and their two children; Danielle, 14, and Joey, 12. He is survived by a large extended family including his brother, Leon (Ann) Burgess, Jr.; sister, Gloria DioGaurdi, sister, Debbie (Richard) Cone; and brother-in-law, Ronald (Maryann) Falzone. The family has resided in Boca Raton since 1980 and Dennis was often found roaming the golf course of Sandlefoot Cove. Services will be held at Palm West Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 25 at 12:00 PM, burial will be directly following at Queen of Peace Cemetery. The family will be receiving visitors after the service to celebrate Dennis' life.
