Rosemary Owens

Rosemary Owens, 86, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2021. Her final days were spent in the home of her daughter with family at her side in Royal Palm Beach, Florida. A celebration of life memorial service will be announced at a later time. Rosemary was born on March 12, 1934 in Corsicana, Texas. The family later moved to Texarkana where she spent the remainder of her childhood. At 17 she met the love of her life, Doyle Owens, in the local soda shop and they got married on December 28, 1951. They moved to Florida in 1958 and continued a full and happy life for 52 years raising 4 children together. Rosemary was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her greatest joy was in spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was fondly known as "Granny" to family members young and old. Rosemary happily lived the past 3 years in Royal Palm Beach, FL. She was a loyal member of the Connect Church in Royal Palm Beach. She greatly enjoyed activities such as traveling, playing cards, and attending local musicals with her "Young at Heart" group from the church. Rosemary will be remembered for her wit, charm, and loving spirit. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband Doyle E. Owens Sr. She is survived by her children and their spouses: Jerry Owens, Terry and Valerie Owens, Mary and Bruce Needham, Chris and Lana Owens; Stepson Doyle E. Owens, Jr.; numerous nieces and nephews; seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
