Rose Marie Stowers

Rose Marie Stowers "Meme" Rose Marie Stowers, a resident of Lake Clarke Shores for the past 65 years, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on January 19th, 2021 at the age of 92. Born in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of William and Eva Marie (Dobbins) Smith. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph and brothers Bill and Dick. Living in the era of the Great Depression, she didn't have much, but she would have given you the shirt off of her back. Always thinking of ways to help others in need. She was an avid rescuer and lover of animals, big and small, and was guaranteed to always have a trusty companion by her side. Meme was a talented artist with many beautiful paintings throughout the years. She worked her entire life starting at the age of 16. She worked at Morrison Field as a secretary during the war, as a Sunday school teacher, an accountant and an office manager. In her spare time she loved to paint portraits of animals, plant a yearly garden, sew and rearrange the furniture around her house. She had a great love for her husband Joe and enjoyed all the adventures they had in life together. Left to cherish her memory; daughter Cynthia Marie Stowers; son-in- law Tom Brown; son Wayne Stowers; daughter- in -law Sherry Stowers; grandchildren, Kimberly Benavente and husband Adelqui, Jennifer Crosby and husband Chad, Stephanie Rodriguez and husband Alan, Brittany Eggen, Danielle Dobbs, Nicole Federer and Tony Stowers ; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Andrew, Brandon, Brianna, Catalina, Tyler, Timothy, Adelaide, Penelope and Viviana. Meme was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be forever missed. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to ASPCA.org, Memorial Gifts.
