On September 23, 2026, we bid farewell to Rosa, the linchpin of our family's journey from Cuba to a new life of freedom. With courage and determination, she and my father left their homeland after the revolution, paving the way for my brother and me to flourish. Rosa's strength and unwavering spirit then brought her siblings and parents to America, where they embraced lives filled with liberty and purpose. The legacy she nurtured continues to thrive, as her family's branches blossom through the generations, enriched with love and new life.
Rosa was predeceased by her husband Orlando, and her eldest son Jose. She is survived by her son Gerald, his wife Angela, and their 3 children: Tyler (and his wife Dawn), Tristan, and Cailyn.
She is also survived by her daughter in law Leonor (the wife of the late Jose), and their 3 children Glenn (and his wife Dana), Kenley (and his wife Michelle), and Jennifer (and her husband Sean). Her surviving family includes her greatest joys, her great grandchildren: Kai, Jace, Caden, Adalyn, Bryce, and Quinn, of 2 months, that she never got to meet.
As well as numerous nieces and nephews by whom she was deeply cherished.
